Bethlehem, Ma'an: Palestine Ahliya University College welcomed an atTanal delegation comprising Secretary-General Dr Abdur Raouf Zuhdi and board member Dr Yasser Zuhdi.
College President Professor Dr Awni Al-Khatib and Public Relations Director Jiries Abu Ghannam received the delegation.
Al-Khatib welcomed the visitors and outlined the college, its facilities and academic programmes. He emphasised the project's importance in strengthening public use of Arabic and advancing a language that reflects peoples' civilisation and progress.
Secretary-General Dr Abdur Raouf Mustafa explained that the project awards the International Certificate of Proficiency in Arabic, contributing to preserving the language of the Qur'an as a guardian of identity, civilisation and heritage, and uniting individual and collective efforts in this field.
He stressed that the project does not seek to exclude other languages or discourage learning them. It gives Arabic, the language of the Qur'an, greater attention while recognising the value of other languages, provided this does not displace time and programmes devoted to Arabic.
