Individuals, institutions, governments and other stakeholders have worked within their means to defend, develop and protect Arabic and restore its everyday use. Many efforts were temporary and fragmented, relying on routine procedures and committees producing studies and proposals without binding decisions, comprehensive action or sustained follow-up.
Drawing on these initiatives, atTanal al-Arabi seeks to unite efforts through the International Certificate of Proficiency in Arabic.
