A meeting of Arabic and humanities specialists from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Palestinian universities—Al-Azhar Gaza, Islamic University and Al-Aqsa—was held with atTanal representatives by video conference at the conference building on Al-Azhar’s western Al-Katiba campus.
Attendees included Arts and Humanities Dean Professor Mansour Al-Louh, Arabic Department Head Dr. Muhammad Abu Ghafra and other Arabic and humanities scholars.
Participants discussed a plan to recognise the international Arabic proficiency certificate and implement it, to advance and protect Arabic amid the information revolution and social media. They sought to strengthen its role in public life and knowledge, encouraging native and other learners to read, write and converse in Arabic and use it daily.
