Palestine Ahliya University College in Bethlehem welcomed an atTanal delegation comprising Secretary General Dr. Abdur Raouf Zuhdi and board member Dr. Yasser Zuhdi. Professor Awni Al-Khatib, the college president, and Jiries Abu Ghannam, public relations director, received them.
Dr. Awni Al-Khatib welcomed the delegation, describing the college, facilities and academic programmes. He stressed the importance of atTanal and of promoting Arabic in public life, reflecting the civilisation and advancement of peoples.
Secretary General Dr. Abdur Raouf Mustafa explained that atTanal awards an international Arabic proficiency certificate, contributing to preserving the language of the Qur’an as guardian of identity, civilisation and heritage and a formative influence on generations, while uniting individual and public efforts.
He stressed that the project does not exclude other languages or oppose learning them. It gives Arabic, the language of the Qur’an that Allah urges us to learn and care for, greater attention. Other languages should be learned and used without taking away the time and programmes devoted to Arabic.
